TANNERSVILLE, PA — Two men were arrested April 8 after employees at the Pocono Premium Outlets reported observing a suspect from an ongoing theft spree.
The Pocono Township Police Department responded to the outlets at approximately 2:34 p.m.
Officers located Valenteno J. Barahona Zambrano, 18, of Ecuador, and Anthony Marcia, 24, of Ecuador, and made contact.
Upon investigation, police discovered the two conspired together to steal $938 worth of items from three different stores.
Further investigation found that on April 5, Barahona Zambrano stole $140 worth of items from a store and pushed an employee out of the way during the act.
Barahona Zambrano has been charged with two counts of retail theft, one count of conspiracy to commit retail theft, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and harassment.
He was placed into Monroe County Correctional Facility.
Bail was set at $15,000 by Magisterial District Judge Jamie Levy.
