Two-vehicle crash reported on Route 140 in Tinmouth

TINMOUTH, VT — Vermont State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Route 140 on April 7, 2026.

Troopers from the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks were notified of the crash at approximately 8:21 a.m.

Timothy R. Keeler, 22, of Danby, was traveling east on Route 140 in a 2018 Ford Escape when he failed to maintain his lane of travel and crossed the centerline, according to police.

Keeler’s vehicle collided with a 2019 RAM 5500 driven by Christopher R. Dezero, 62, of Rutland, who was traveling west on Route 140.

Both vehicles sustained substantial damage to their front left corners.

Keeler sustained suspected minor injuries but was not transported to a hospital.

Dezero reported no injuries.

Both operators were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

Road conditions were wet with snow, and it was snowing at the time of the incident.

The Tinmouth Fire Department assisted Vermont State Police at the scene.
