Six arrested in Sullivan County drug, weapons sweep

MONTICELLO, NY — Members of the New York State Police Troop F Community Stabilization Unit, in coordination with uniform troopers, arrested six people and seized illegal firearms and narcotics during a two-day enforcement operation on April 1 and April 2, 2026.

The operation targeted key corridors and areas impacted by criminal activity throughout Sullivan County, with an emphasis on narcotics trafficking and illegal weapons possession.

Moises A. Veras, 31, of Monticello, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree, a class A misdemeanor, and issued uniform traffic tickets.

Veras was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Village of Monticello Court on May 20, 2026, at 11 a.m., and released.

Kalim J. Nedd, 26, of Monticello, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree with intent to sell, a class B felony, and criminal possession of a controlled substance 4th degree, a class C felony.

Nedd was arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail without bail.

Jessica R. Singleton, 36, of Monticello, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree, a class A misdemeanor, and issued uniform traffic tickets.

Singleton was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Liberty Court on May 13, 2026, at 2 p.m.

Thomas L. Singleton, 46, of Monticello, was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree with intent to sell, criminal possession of a controlled substance 4th degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree and criminal use of drug paraphernalia 2nd degree.

Thomas Singleton was arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail without bail.

Jeremiah A. Wade, 21, of Monticello, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree with intent to sell, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon 2nd degree, criminal possession of a weapon 3rd degree for an ammunition feeding device, criminal possession of a weapon 3rd degree for a defaced firearm, two counts of criminal possession of a firearm, resisting arrest, obstruction of governmental administration 2nd degree and criminal use of drug paraphernalia 2nd degree.

Wade was arraigned in the Town of Thompson Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail with bail set at $50,000 cash, $150,000 bond, or $300,000 partially secured bond.

Wade also had an active bench warrant issued by the Village of Monticello Court with bail set at $10,000 cash, $20,000 bond, or $30,000 partially secured bond.

Jeremy Macghee, 19, of Monticello, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree with intent to sell, criminal possession of a weapon 2nd degree, criminal possession of a weapon 3rd degree for an ammunition feeding device, criminal possession of a firearm and criminal use of drug paraphernalia 2nd degree.

Macghee was arraigned in the Town of Thompson Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail with bail set at $15,000 cash, $50,000 bond, or $100,000 partially secured bond.

State police seized two loaded handguns, including one defaced firearm, one extended magazine, approximately 21.9 grams of cocaine, approximately 22.2 grams of crack cocaine, approximately 7.5 grams of fentanyl and approximately 2 grams of MDMA pills.

Troopers issued 20 traffic tickets and conducted numerous vehicle stops and field interviews during the operation.
