ALIQUIPPA, PA — Police are searching for a man who fled on foot while carrying an AK-style rifle in an apartment complex.
Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Superior Avenue at approximately 5 p.m. April 3, 2026, for a report of an intoxicated male requesting assistance.
While responding, an officer observed a group of males in the 400 block of Superior Avenue at Valley Terrace B Building, including individuals known to law enforcement.
One unidentified male abruptly fled on foot while attempting to conceal a firearm.
Officers initiated a foot pursuit.
During the chase, responding officers observed the male was in possession of an AK-style rifle.
The suspect fled through multiple areas of the apartment complex and was able to evade apprehension.
Officers conducted a search of the area and attempted to make contact at a residence believed to be associated with the individual, but no contact was made.
The firearm was recovered and identified as a Century Arms AK-style rifle.
Potential suspect identity has been obtained and the incident remains under investigation.
