BETHEL, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a local man Tuesday night following an assault that sent a victim to the hospital.
Troopers from the Royalton Barracks responded to a 911 call at approximately 7:31 p.m. April 1 from a residence on Sand Hill Road reporting an individual had been assaulted and injured.
Police arrived and identified the victim as Keith Hodgdon, 58, of Bethel.
Hodgdon was transported to Gifford Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
Investigation revealed that Tommy Warren, 45, of Bethel, had assaulted Hodgdon with a weapon, causing injury, according to police.
Warren fled the scene before police arrived but was later located and taken into custody.
Warren was transported to the Royalton State Police Barracks for processing.
Custody was ultimately transferred to Parole & Probation on probation violations.
Warren received a criminal citation on a charge of aggravated assault.
