Two arrested in vehicle burglary in Shelton

SHELTON, CT — Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a vehicle burglary at Shelton City Hall in February.

The Shelton Police Department responded to a reported burglary to a motor vehicle in the area of Hill Street on Feb. 17.

Investigation revealed that a city truck had been forcibly entered, resulting in damage to the driver’s side door and lock.

A Husky brand socket set and other items were stolen.

Surveillance footage showed two suspects entering the parking area during the early morning hours of Feb. 13, where they forcibly entered the vehicle and removed items before fleeing on foot.

Detective Franco and the Shelton Police Detective Bureau conducted an investigation utilizing evidence, witness statements and surveillance techniques.

A search warrant was secured for a location where the stolen property was believed to be.

The warrant was executed and the stolen items were recovered.

Kamora King, 43, and Mark Gaddy, 44, were identified as the individuals responsible for the burglary.

Arrest warrants were obtained and both were taken into custody.

At the time of his arrest, Gaddy was out on bond for a robbery that occurred in Shelton on Feb. 21.

King was already in custody for that same robbery and was served with the arrest warrant while incarcerated.

Both King and Gaddy are in the custody of the Department of Correction awaiting their next court date.
