HOWLAND, ME — A woman has been arrested in connection with a 2022 fire at a corner store, according to the Maine State Fire Marshal’s Office.
Samantha Randall, 39, of Howland, was arrested Friday on an arson charge related to a fire at the Howland Corner Store.
Firefighters responded to the store at approximately 9:08 p.m. on Nov. 2, 2022, for a reported structure fire.
First responders observed active fire conditions and signs of rapid-fire development shortly after the store had closed for the evening.
A Penobscot County Grand Jury indicted Randall following an extensive criminal and financial investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional arrests or charges are expected.
