Man arrested in stolen vehicle case in Greece

GREECE, NY — A 34-year-old man was arrested after a License Plate Reader alert detected a stolen vehicle on Mt. Read Boulevard on March 26, 2026.

Officers responded to the area at approximately 9:13 a.m. after receiving the alert for a vehicle reported stolen out of the City of Rochester.

Police located the vehicle, a 2018 Chevrolet Colorado, and arrested the driver, identified as Jarryl Carley of Rochester.

During the investigation, Carley provided false identifying information, resulting in an additional charge.

Carley was transported to the Greece Police Department Headquarters for processing.

He was charged with criminal possession of stolen property third degree and false personation.

Carley was later transported to the Monroe County Jail for CAP Court arraignment.

Warrants from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and Gates Police Department were also identified.
