Man arrested on drug charges in Bath

BATH, NY — A Bath man was arrested on drug charges after a police officer stopped to interview him about a trespass complaint.

An officer with the Village of Bath Police Department was on patrol in the area of E Steuben Street and E Morris Street at approximately 4:47 p.m. on March 21, 2026, when he observed a man who needed to be interviewed regarding a recent trespass complaint.

During the interview, the officer observed Kyle J. Stone, 33, of Bath, in possession of multiple items of drug paraphernalia.

A probable cause search of Stone’s person was conducted, during which Stone attempted to conceal a quantity of suspected methamphetamine to prevent law enforcement from finding it during the search.

Stone was taken into custody and transported to Bath Police Department for processing.

Stone was charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, a Class A misdemeanor, one count of criminally using drug paraphernalia in the 2nd degree, a Class A misdemeanor, and tampering with physical evidence, a Class E felony.

Stone was processed and released on an appearance ticket.

Stone is due in Bath Village Court at a later date.
