3 arrested after drug seizure in Hartford

HARTFORD, VT — On March 20, 2026, at 7 a.m., the Hartford Police Department executed a search warrant at 73 Cross Street, Apartment 4B, in the village of Quechee.

The warrant was related to the investigation of an assault that occurred at the residence on March 3, 2026.

Officers contacted the occupants of the residence and ordered them outside.

All occupants were detained outside the residence prior to officers entering.

They were identified as Andrea Gilbert, 37, of Hartford; Anthony Moore, 34, of Hartford, Connecticut; George Akroyd, 35, of Tunbridge; Brian Lafountain, 41, of Hartford; and Trinity Pelletier, 19, of Meredith, New Hampshire.

A large quantity of cocaine base and fentanyl was located on Gilbert’s person.

A small amount of cocaine base and a large quantity of U.S. currency were located on Moore’s person.

Officers also determined that Akroyd had an active in-state arrest warrant.

Gilbert, Moore, and Akroyd were arrested and transported to the Hartford Police Department for processing.

Pelletier and Lafountain were released from the scene.

Based on the drugs and currency seized, officers obtained a second search warrant to search the residence for additional evidence related to illicit controlled substances and firearms.

During the subsequent search, officers located additional illicit controlled substances.

In total, officers seized a substantial amount of cocaine base, fentanyl, prescription medication, and U.S. currency.

Gilbert was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windsor Criminal Division, in White River Junction to answer charges of possession of cocaine, fentanyl trafficking, and possession of depressants, stimulants, and narcotics.

Moore was issued a citation to appear in the same court on a charge of possession of cocaine.

Akroyd was transported to court by the Hartford Police Department to answer his outstanding warrant.
