Structure fire reported in Broadalbin

BROADALBIN, NY — The Broadalbin-Kennyetto Fire Company responded to a structure fire on Ridge Road on March 15, 2026.

Units were dispatched at 11:53 p.m. to what was initially reported as a garage fire close to a house.

A Broadalbin-Kennyetto Fire Company incident commander confirmed a fully-involved structure fire upon arrival.

The Perth Volunteer Fire Company was called for mutual aid and asked to send an engine and manpower.

A tanker was requested from the Mayfield Fire Department.

The Hagaman Volunteer Fire Department was asked to send a tanker.

The Berkshire Fire Department was asked to send a tanker to the scene.

The Galway Volunteer Fire Company was asked to send an engine and manpower.

Perth was asked to provide their mobile cascade system.

Broadalbin-Kennyetto Fire Police secured traffic around the scene.

The Broadalbin-Kennyetto Fire Auxiliary supported all responders.

The Fulton County Emergency Management Office also responded.

After Perth cleared the scene, they remained on standby at their station for Broadalbin.

National Grid was notified of an arcing transformer near the property.

The Town of Perth Highway Department sent their wheeled excavator to the scene.
