Man arrested on warrant in Lower Makefield Township

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — A missing person search ended with an arrest when police located a wanted man at a hotel March 10.

Police received information about a missing person considered endangered who was last seen near Big Oak and Oxford Valley roads that morning.

Officers searched the area and checked local businesses.

At approximately 4:08 p.m., officers located the individual’s vehicle near Route 413 and the Newtown Bypass.

When officers approached the vehicle, the 39-year-old male driver from Doylestown attempted to avoid them.

Officers safely stopped the vehicle and identified the driver, who was found to have an outstanding warrant.

The man was taken into custody without incident at the Hampton Inn in the 1000 block of Stony Hill Road, reported at 4:12 p.m.

He was processed at police headquarters and later transferred to Bucks County Prison.
