Woman arrested on DUI charge in Woodbridge

WOODBRIDGE, CT — A Waterbury woman was arrested on a warrant stemming from a 2021 motor vehicle accident in which police determined she was operating under the influence.

Katoa Fuentes, 37, of Waterbury, was taken into custody by Waterbury police on Feb. 11 for an unrelated incident when Woodbridge police served the active arrest warrant.

Fuentes was charged with illegal operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence.

She was turned over to New Haven Superior Court Judicial Marshals for arraignment on Feb. 13.

Man arrested on probation violations in Woodbridge

WOODBRIDGE, CT — A Woodbridge man was arrested on two active warrants for probation violations.

Reynaldo Canales, 31, of Woodbridge, was taken into custody by officers patrolling on Amity Road on Feb. 19.

Canales was charged with two counts of violation of probation.

He was unable to post a court-set $70,000 bond and was turned over to New Haven Superior Court Judicial Marshals for arraignment on Feb. 13.

Man turns himself in on disorderly conduct charge in Woodbridge

WOODBRIDGE, CT — A Hamden man turned himself in at Woodbridge Police Headquarters on March 5 on an active arrest warrant.

Curtis Williams, 34, of Hamden, was charged with disorderly conduct stemming from an October dispute at a residence.

Williams was released on his written promise to appear in New Haven Superior Court for arraignment on March 5.

Man arrested on robbery, traffic charges in Woodbridge

WOODBRIDGE, CT — A North Haven man in Department of Correction custody was served with two active arrest warrants on March 5 stemming from a January incident on Litchfield Turnpike.

Osvaldo Beard-Beltran, 31, of North Haven, was presented in New Haven Superior Court for an unrelated incident when Woodbridge police served the warrants.

The charges stem from a Jan. 29 incident in which Beard-Beltran was operating a vehicle involved in a motor vehicle accident on Litchfield Turnpike.

Police said Beard-Beltran fled the scene, exited his vehicle and attempted to carjack a vehicle traveling southbound on Litchfield Turnpike.

He was taken into custody by Bridgeport police for an armed robbery that occurred in that city.

Beard-Beltran was charged with criminal attempt to commit robbery in the third degree, unsafe passing, evading responsibility of a motor vehicle accident, failure to drive in proper lane and illegal operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

He was turned over to New Haven Superior Court Judicial Marshals for arraignment.
