HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — A 62-year-old man suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle Sunday night.
The Hackettstown Police Department and Hackettstown First Aid & Rescue Squad responded to the 600 block of Madison Street at approximately 8:21 p.m. for a report of a struck pedestrian.
Officers began rendering aid to the victim upon arrival.
A preliminary investigation revealed the 62-year-old man from Hackettstown was struck in the roadway while not in a crosswalk.
The vehicle was a Mercedes driven by a 19-year-old man from Brooklyn, New York.
The victim was transported to Hackettstown Medical Center and was then flown to Morristown Medical Center.
The crash remains under investigation by the Hackettstown Police Department Detective Bureau.
Saint Clare’s Paramedics, the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office and the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office Serious Crash Accident Reconstruction Team assisted at the scene.
