LONG BEACH TOWNSHIP, NJ — Officers from the Long Beach Township Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop in the Holgate section on Saturday.
Further investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver, 24-year-old Alizai Smith of Horsham, Pennsylvania, and the passenger, 29-year-old Ly Phu, of Philadelphia, for possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
Phu was also charged with hindering apprehension.
Smith and Phu were processed and transported to Ocean County Jail where they were lodged pending a detention hearing.
