TANNERSVILLE, PA — A woman was arrested on a driving under the influence charge following a single-vehicle accident on Jan. 9, 2026.
Pocono Township Police responded to a call about a disabled vehicle on Route 715 near Munch Drive at around 3:15 p.m.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered that the vehicle was involved in a single-vehicle accident.
The driver, Eleanor Burke, 47, of Pennsylvania, showed signs of intoxication.
Burke was taken into custody for driving under the influence of alcohol at the highest rate.
She was transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility.
