BATAVIA, NY — A 27-year-old man faces multiple charges after allegedly kicking a police officer in the head during an incident on Feb. 19.
Nicholas J. Cavallaro, of Batavia, was arrested for second-degree assault, second-degree obstruction of governmental administration and second-degree harassment.
After being detained by police on an unrelated incident, Cavallaro began to slam his head against the metal cage in the back of a patrol car.
When officers opened the door to try to get him to stop, he became combative and allegedly kicked a Batavia Police Officer in the head.
The officer suffered a concussion and was treated and released from UMMC.
Cavallaro was transported to Strong Hospital to be treated for injuries he sustained from hitting his head inside the car.
After being released from the hospital, Cavallaro was arraigned in Batavia City Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail.
Sex offender arrested in Batavia

BATAVIA, NY — A level 3 sex offender was arrested Feb. 19 for allegedly failing to verify his address.
Robert R. Richmond, 62, of Batavia, was arrested for sex offender failure to verify address.
Richmond allegedly failed to verify his address, as he is required to do.
He was arraigned in CAP Court.
Woman arrested on DWI charge in Batavia

BATAVIA, NY — A 21-year-old woman was arrested Feb. 22 for driving while intoxicated.
Grace R. Doud, of Attica, was charged following a traffic stop on East Main Street.
She was issued several traffic tickets and is due in court on March 4.
Man arrested on bench warrant in Batavia

BATAVIA, NY — A 20-year-old man was arrested Feb. 23 on a bench warrant.
Parodyce K. Warren, of Batavia, was initially charged with third-degree criminal mischief in September after allegedly damaging property at VanDetta Stadium.
The warrant was issued after he failed to appear in court.
He was arraigned in CAP Court and is due in Batavia City Court at a later date.

BATAVIA, NY — A 39-year-old man was arrested Feb. 19 for criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Richard A. Miller, of Batavia, was arrested for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
While being taken into custody on an unrelated warrant, Miller was allegedly found in possession of cocaine.
He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court on March 3.

BATAVIA, NY — A 33-year-old woman was arrested Feb. 18 for second-degree criminal contempt.
Iesha M. Vetter, of Batavia, allegedly failed to appear to testify in court after being served a subpoena.
She was arraigned in CAP Court and released.
Man arrested after allegedly spitting on person in Batavia

BATAVIA, NY — A 47-year-old man was arrested Feb. 19 for second-degree harassment.
Phillip P. Heale, of Batavia, was charged after he allegedly spit in another person’s face during an argument on Linwood Avenue.
He was arraigned in CAP Court and released.
Woman arrested on bench warrant in Batavia

BATAVIA, NY — A 38-year-old woman was arrested Feb. 21 on a bench warrant.
Meaghan A. Conti, of East Rochester, was initially charged in May with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
The warrant was issued after she failed to appear in court.
Conti was arraigned in CAP Court and released.

BATAVIA, NY — A 37-year-old woman was arrested Feb. 26 on an arrest warrant for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Kimberly L. Blue, of Batavia, was allegedly found in possession of narcotics when she was arrested for an unrelated incident in June 2023.
Blue was arraigned in CAP Court and released
