BATH, NY — State Police arrested a Bath man on a rape charge following a months-long investigation.
Zachary T. Preston, 26, of Bath, was charged with second-degree rape, a felony, after an investigation that began in September following a report involving a 13-year-old female.
Police located and arrested Preston in the town of Bath on Feb. 25, 2026, without incident.
He was processed at the State Police barracks in Bath and transported to the Steuben County Jail pending centralized arraignment.
Orders of protection were issued on behalf of the victim.
