JERSEY SHORE, PA — Lycoming Regional Police arrested a man on multiple charges following a disturbance on Calvert Street on Feb. 25, 2026.
Officers responded to the area at approximately 9:30 a.m. after receiving a disturbance call.
Upon arrival, police made contact with Samuel Henry Collins, 46, of Pennsylvania.
Police said Collins was under the influence of methamphetamine and claimed to have heard people raping a woman and was trying to intervene.
According to police, Collins jumped a fence and entered a nearby backyard where a family was cutting their dog’s toenails.
Police said Collins accused the family of raping girls and began yelling at them.
A physical altercation ensued, during which Collins punched a 27-year-old male victim in the face, causing injury, according to police.
Collins then jumped the fence again and ran down an alley, yelling, police said.
Another physical altercation occurred in the alley, during which Collins threatened to stab another male victim and reached into his pocket, according to police.
The male victim sustained injuries to his leg during the altercation, police said.
Out of fear of being stabbed, the male victim held Collins down until police arrived, according to police.
Collins was taken into custody and charged with terroristic threats, simple assault, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness.
He was arraigned before a magisterial district judge and committed to Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
