Driver arrested on DUI, drug charges in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY — A driver was arrested early Thursday morning after police found him operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon stopped a vehicle in the area of N. Main St. and W. Oak Hill Rd. at approximately 2:44 a.m. on Feb. 20, 2026.

Through investigation, police determined the operator, Christopher L. Morton, was under the influence of a combination of alcohol and drugs.

Morton was also found to be in possession of 6.5 grams of cocaine.

He was placed into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he was held pending arraignment.

Morton was arraigned in Jamestown City Court and released.
