Two-vehicle crash at Route 100 intersection in Troy

TROY, VT — Vermont State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 100 and Route 101 at 4:50 p.m. Feb. 19, 2026.

Police identified the operator of the first vehicle, a 2025 Toyota Highlander, as Shanshan Ding, 47, of Scarsdale, N.Y.

The operator of the second vehicle, a 2021 Chevrolet Equinox, was identified as Cherilyn Jenkins, 49, of Colchester.

Investigation revealed Ding failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign and crashed into Jenkins.

Both vehicles sustained front-end damage.

Neither operator was injured, and both were wearing seat belts.

Weather conditions were clear and road conditions were good at the time of the crash.

Ding was issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for failure to yield the right of way.
