HARTFORD, VT — Hartford Police have arrested a New Hampshire woman accused of stealing custom-made glass Christmas trees from a Quechee residence.

Kyla Hall, 32, of Sunapee, New Hampshire, was arrested Feb. 19 and charged with grand larceny and receiving and sale of stolen property.

Police received a report Feb. 3 that seven Simon Pearce Glassware Christmas trees, including a custom-made tree, were stolen from a residence in Quechee.

The complainant was a rental property manager who reported recently terminating Hall from the cleaning staff.

The custom-made tree was only produced for senior leadership in the company and never sold commercially.

A Simon Pearce employee heard Hall was attempting to sell several trees and contacted senior leadership when one matched the description of the custom-made tree.

All other custom-made trees were accounted for.

Police obtained screenshots from January showing Hall offering seven glass Christmas trees for sale that matched those reported stolen.

Investigators from the Hartford Police Criminal Investigation Division, operating in an undercover capacity, contacted Hall to arrange a purchase.

Hall agreed to meet at Dunkin’ in White River Junction.

Officers met Hall at the agreed location Feb. 19, confirmed the presence of the stolen items and arrested her without incident.

The trees were recovered from her vehicle pursuant to a Vermont Superior Court search warrant.

Hall was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windsor Criminal Division, on March 31.
