PALMER, PA — Police arrested a man following a domestic altercation Tuesday afternoon.
Palmer Township Police were dispatched to Kathryn Street at approximately 4:01 p.m. for a 911 call.
Officers arrived and confirmed a physical altercation had occurred between a man and woman.
The female victim had visible injuries, according to police.
The victim identified her boyfriend, Gerardo Mejia Vidal, 25, of Palmer, as the person who assaulted her.
Mejia Vidal was taken into custody without incident.
He was transported to the Palmer Police Department for processing.
Mejia Vidal was charged with simple assault and harassment.
He was later arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Hawke and released on $3,500 unsecured bail.
