Man arrested on warrant in Highgate

HIGHGATE, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a man on an outstanding warrant after responding to a trespassing complaint on Mill Hill Road.

Troopers were notified of a trespassing incident at a property on Mill Hill Road at approximately 3:39 p.m. on Feb. 15, 2026.

Police responded to the scene and identified one of the involved parties as Daniel Bjornson, 50, of Brookfield.

Bjornson had an active arrest warrant out of Washington County for burglary and unlawful trespassing charges.

Bjornson was taken into custody and transported to the Northwest State Correctional Facility.

He was held on $200 bail.
