E BURKE, VT — A West Burke woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a single-vehicle crash on Valentine’s Day.
Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks responded to a report of a crash on E Darling Hill Road near Burke Hollow Road at approximately 9:02 p.m.
Troopers identified the operator of the vehicle as Michelle Verge, 42, of West Burke.
While speaking with Verge, troopers detected indicators of impairment.
Verge was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence and transported to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.
She was driving a 2002 Subaru Impreza, which sustained minor damage.
No injuries were reported.
Verge was issued a citation and released.
She is ordered to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court on March 2 at 8:30 a.m.
Weather at the time was clear with light snow on the roadway.
