TANNERSVILLE, PA — A traffic stop for a minor violation led to drug charges for two people on May 20.
An officer with the Pocono Township Police Department conducted the traffic stop at approximately 8 a.m.
During the stop, the officer observed marijuana in plain view near the center console area of the vehicle, leading to a drug investigation.
The driver, Antoinette Jea Mitchell, 21, of Easton, Pennsylvania, granted consent for a search of the vehicle.
The search led to the discovery of marijuana, cocaine and related drug paraphernalia.
Police said the drugs belonged to both Mitchell and a rear passenger in the vehicle.
Mitchell was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct.
The rear passenger was also charged.
