Two arrested on child endangerment charges in Fort Edward

FORT EDWARD, NY — Two people were arrested on multiple counts of endangering the welfare of a child following a joint investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Washington County Department of Children Protection Services.

James W. Dimick Sr., 45, of Fort Edward, and Crystal A. Dimick, 40, of Fort Edward, were each charged with seven counts of endangering the welfare of a child, class A misdemeanors.

According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the investigation resulted in domestic violence charges relating to children in the household under the care of the Dimicks.

Both were released on their own recognizance and are scheduled to appear in Fort Edward Town Court at a later date.

The charges were filed under New York State Penal Law 260.10/01.
