ST. JOHNSBURY, VT — A Texas woman was cited for negligent operation after police say she was driving on the wrong side of a divided highway.
Lilya Rundell Jowett, 52, of Houston, was observed driving westbound in the eastbound lane of U.S. Route 2 near exit 21 at 12:53 p.m. on January 27, 2026, according to the Lyndonville Police Department.
A Lyndonville police patrol officer stopped the vehicle.
Jowett was cited into Caledonia Superior Court with an arraignment scheduled for April 27, 2026 at 8:30 a.m.
She was also issued two Vermont civil violation complaints totaling $440 and four points.
