BOMBAY, NY — New York State Police charged Sarah L. Durant, 37, of Moira on Jan. 29 with falsely reporting an incident.
At approximately 1:37 p.m., troopers responded to County Route 32 in Bombay after receiving a report of a domestic dispute.
Following an investigation, police determined that Durant had made false claims about being menaced with a firearm, physically assaulted, and nearly struck by a vehicle.
Authorities said the investigation found the reported incident did not occur.
Durant was arrested and transported to SP Malone for processing.
She was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to return to the Town of Moira Court in February.
