BATH, NY — A man was arrested Jan. 14 on a warrant charging him with violating an order of protection for the third time since November.
Keith McKiever was taken into custody at approximately 1:07 p.m. when he responded to Bath Village Court, according to the Bath Village Police Department.
The arrest stems from an incident on Jan. 9 at approximately 7:42 p.m. when officers were dispatched to an address on Denwood Terrace for a report of an order of protection violation.
Officers spoke with a witness who reported that McKiever showed up at her residence, where a protected party also lives.
Police determined McKiever had fled the scene before officers arrived because he knew police were responding.
Officers were unable to locate McKiever that evening and an arrest warrant was issued.
McKiever was charged with criminal contempt in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor.
He was arraigned in Bath Village Court and released on his own recognizance.
