Man arrested on assault charge in East Stroudsburg

EAST STROUDSBURG, PA — The Stroud Area Regional Police Department arrested a man Wednesday on assault charges stemming from a December domestic disturbance.

Dallas Dakota Rose was arrested at 7:48 a.m. Wednesday.

He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Wolbert and committed to the Monroe County Correctional Facility.

Police were dispatched to Taylor Street on Dec. 19 at 12:24 p.m. for a report of a domestic disturbance.

The victim told police Rose, against whom she has an active protection from abuse order, showed up at the residence.

Rose entered the residence and started an argument with the victim, throwing items around including her television, according to police.

He then attacked the victim until she was able to flee out the front door, police said.

Rose fled out the back door and into the woods before police arrived.
