WILLING, NY — A 24-year-old man died after his horse-drawn buggy collided with a logging truck on County Route 29 on Jan. 20, 2026.
Atlee Miller, of Willing, was operating the buggy when it turned into the path of a fully loaded 2009 International logging truck at 1:35 p.m., according to state police.
Miller was transported to Jones Memorial Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The horse was not injured in the collision.
State police from the Amity barracks responded to the crash.
The investigation was assisted by the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Collision Reconstruction Unit and the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit.
