NEWPORT — Newport Downtown Development’s Winter Saturdays music series returns this Saturday, January 10, at a new location: The Tasting Center at 150 Main Street.
The six-week series runs from 6-9 p.m. on Saturdays from January 10 through February 14, 2026.
Sleeveless Tease opens the series this Saturday. The lineup continues with Soul Porpoise on January 17, Ben Farney Trio on January 24, ETA’s Tribute to Classic Country on January 31, Sweet Cecily on February 7, and Tod Pronto “Spearmint” on February 14.
Newport Downtown Development will charge a $10 cover to pay for the bands. Eden Ciders will operate a cash bar with beer, wine and cider. Food will be available for an additional fee from the Flaky Crust, or organizers will order pizzas from Hoagies and sell them by the slice.
Winter Saturdays began in 2022 as a grassroots effort by Newport City Downtown Development volunteers who wanted to create local entertainment options during winter months.
