WASHINGTON, NJ — Police arrested a 65-year-old Washington Borough man for unlawful possession of a handgun.
A woman came to police headquarters at approximately 4:59 p.m. Sunday to follow up on a domestic incident from the previous night.
After obtaining a court order, police executed a search warrant in relation to the incident.
Officers found a handgun the man was legally prohibited from possessing.
With assistance from another law enforcement agency, police located the man and took him into custody.
He was processed and transported to the Warren County Jail to await his court appearance.
