RUMNEY, NH — Two people died and another was seriously injured in a head-on collision on Route 25 on Friday.
The Rumney Police Department received 911 calls at approximately 1:33 p.m. reporting a serious collision with injury and entrapment on Route 25 just west of the police department.
First responders arrived to find two vehicles involved in a head-on style collision.
Initial investigation revealed that a Nissan Rogue SUV left the westbound lane and crossed into eastbound traffic for unknown reasons, striking a Toyota RAV4.
One vehicle had two deceased individuals and the other vehicle had one individual in serious condition.
Route 25 was shut down and traffic was diverted throughout the afternoon into the evening while emergency crews worked.
Speed is considered a factor at this time while the investigation is underway.
