BETHEL, VT — A 38-year-old woman faces two counts of possession of stolen property after an investigation into the theft of desktop computers from a local library.
Vermont State Police troopers from the Royalton Barracks began investigating the theft at approximately 2:35 p.m. Oct. 6.
Two desktop computers were reported stolen from the Bethel Town Library in Windsor County.
Both computers have been recovered by law enforcement.
The investigation identified Ashley Osmer, of Bethel, as a suspect in the case.
Osmer was charged with two counts of possession of stolen property.
She was ordered to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Windsor Criminal Division on Feb. 17, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
