SOUTHINGTON, CT — Two people were arrested and a stolen vehicle recovered following an investigation at a Queen Street hotel Tuesday evening.
Southington police located a stolen Subaru at approximately 7:45 p.m. while following up on a Flock License Plate Reader alert connected to an ongoing shoplifting investigation.
The vehicle had been reported stolen from Claremont, New Hampshire, earlier this month, according to police.
Officers identified Tralanda Humphrey, 37, as having an active felony warrant and took her into custody without incident at a hotel room.
Edwin Navarro, 37, was also found inside the room and was arrested after attempting to conceal himself, police said.
Navarro was found in possession of the stolen vehicle’s key and had additional active felony warrants, according to police.
Both individuals were transported to police headquarters for booking.
The stolen vehicle was towed from the scene and evidence was logged by detectives.
No injuries were reported.
