NORTHFIELD, NJ — Police are investigating an attempted bank robbery at a TD Bank branch Friday afternoon.
An individual entered the TD Bank at 1120 Tilton Road at approximately 1 p.m. and presented a note to a teller, according to the Northfield Police Department.
No weapon was displayed and no physical harm was reported.
The suspect fled the scene without obtaining any funds.
The subject is described as a male approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build, possibly Hispanic or Asian.
He was wearing a black sweatshirt, black jacket and a hood over his head.
The suspect was also wearing black sweatpants, black socks and dark colored slides that had a bright image depicted on the top of them, along with a black cloth medical style mask over his nose and mouth.
Police are actively pursuing leads and reviewing surveillance footage to identify and apprehend the individual responsible.
