JAMESTOWN, NY — A traffic stop early Friday morning led to the arrest of a man on multiple charges including felony aggravated unlicensed operation.

Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon stopped a vehicle at Foote Avenue and Institute Street around 12:06 a.m. after observing multiple traffic infractions.

Police identified the driver as Jonathan Hulett, 25, of Clymer, New York.

Officers determined Hulett was operating the vehicle while intoxicated, according to police.

Hulett was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .18% or higher, and aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree, a felony.

The felony charge stems from Hulett’s driving privileges in New York being revoked from a previous DWI earlier this year, police said.

Hulett was also issued multiple uniform traffic tickets.

He is being held in the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.
