BETHEL, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a woman on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and cocaine possession following a traffic stop Dec. 12.
Troopers conducted the stop at approximately 11:09 p.m. on Vermont Route 107 at Christian Hill Road after observing a traffic violation.
The operator, identified as Mellissa Forsythe, 52, of Royalton, displayed signs of impairment during the interaction with police, according to authorities.
Following an investigation, Forsythe was placed under arrest on suspicion of DUI.
During a search incident to arrest, police said they found Forsythe in possession of cocaine.
Forsythe was transported to the Royalton State Police Barracks for processing.
She was issued a criminal citation to answer to the charges and released.
