Two men arrested on weapons charges in Hamilton Township

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — Two men were arrested on weapons charges following a traffic stop at a shopping center on Friday afternoon.

K-9 Officer Boyd conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2007 Dodge Charger in the area of McDonald’s, located in the Festival Mall, at approximately 1:14 p.m.

During the course of the investigation, Officer Boyd observed the occupants to be in possession of a large amount of currency.

He then deployed his narcotics K-9, who gave positive indication on the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle revealed a semi-automatic handgun loaded with hollow-point ammunition.

The occupants, Jeremiah Doucet, 21, of Mays Landing, and Jesus Davila, 19, of Atlantic City, were both taken into custody without incident.

They were charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of hollow point bullets.

Both subjects were lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of bail.
