Teacher charged with sexual abuse in Cherry Creek

CHERRY CREEK, NY — A teacher employed by the Pine Valley School District has been charged with sexual abuse following an investigation by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

Robert Slisz, 33, of Hamburg, was charged with sexual abuse in the third degree, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint from the Pine Valley School District on Dec. 3 regarding a teacher employed at their school.

The Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division conducted an investigation into allegations against Slisz.

The investigation determined that Slisz had allegedly engaged in sexual contact with a juvenile victim.

Slisz later turned himself in at the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

Slisz is scheduled to answer the charges in the Town of Cherry Creek Court.
