HINGHAM, MA — A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck by a motor vehicle Wednesday morning.
Hingham police responded to the area of 147 Main St. at approximately 11:20 a.m. for a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle.
The first two officers on scene responded from private details nearby.
Officers rendered aid to a pedestrian in the roadway with apparent serious injury.
The pedestrian was transported to South Shore Hospital by the Hingham Fire Department.
The operator of the motor vehicle involved stayed on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The operator was also transported to South Shore Hospital.
