Man arrested on domestic incident charges in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY — A man was arrested following a domestic dispute on the city’s east side Sunday night.

Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 2nd Platoon responded to a residence at approximately 10:11 p.m. for a reported domestic dispute in progress.

Through investigation, police discovered that Raymond C. Brown Jr. prevented the victim from calling emergency services by taking the victim’s phone out of her hands.

While doing so, Brown smashed the victim’s phone onto the ground, causing it to break, according to police.

Officers placed Brown into custody.

Brown was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment for two counts of criminal mischief in the fourth degree.
