ROSENDALE, NY — A Kingston man faces felony drug charges following a traffic stop Nov. 21.
Richard Banks, 51, of Kingston, was arrested after police stopped him for operating a vehicle with a suspended registration and no insurance, according to the Rosendale Police Department.
During an investigation at the scene, police said Banks was found to be in possession of a controlled substance.
Banks was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, a felony; operating with a suspended registration, a misdemeanor; and operating without insurance, a violation.
He was transported to Ulster County CAP Court.
Banks is scheduled to appear in Rosendale Town Court at a later date.
