PALMYRA, NY — Police arrested a man following a traffic stop on Canandaigua Street late Wednesday night.
John Williams, 59, of Manchester, was stopped at approximately 11:38 p.m. after officers observed a vehicle operating without a front license plate.
During the stop, Williams refused multiple lawful orders to provide identification and later resisted officers’ attempts to conduct a lawful arrest, according to the Palmyra Police Department.
Williams was issued traffic tickets for no front license plate and unlicensed operator.
He was also charged with two counts of obstruction of governmental administration and resisting arrest.
Williams was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Palmyra Village Court at a later date.
