JAMESTOWN, NY — A man was arrested after allegedly destroying property during a domestic dispute and fleeing from police.
Officers responded to an address on the north side of the city around 11:21 p.m. Nov. 25 for a domestic dispute.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the female victim of the dispute.
It was discovered that Anthony L. Anzalone, 49, of Jamestown, had destroyed property belonging to the woman inside her residence, then fled the scene.
Officers observed Anzalone attempt to get into his vehicle a short time later, but after seeing the patrol car, he fled on foot into nearby woods.
After a brief search of the area, Anzalone was located trying to hide under a fallen tree.
He was arrested and transported to the Jamestown City Jail on charges of criminal mischief in the fourth degree and criminal contempt in the second degree.
Anzalone is being held pending arraignment.
