JAMESTOWN, NY — Police arrested a woman on shoplifting and related charges early Tuesday morning after she allegedly stole merchandise from a convenience store.
Officers responded to a 7-Eleven on North Main Street at 3:46 a.m. for a reported shoplifting.
Police spoke with an employee at the scene.
An investigation determined that Danielle R. Raynor, 38, of Jamestown, had stolen merchandise from the store.
Officers located Raynor a short distance away.
Raynor became combative with officers when being taken into custody, according to police.
After a brief struggle, Raynor was taken into custody.
She was transported to Jamestown City Jail.
Raynor was charged with petit larceny, obstructing governmental administration in the second degree and resisting arrest.
She was held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
