TENAFLY, NJ — Authorities are investigating the death of a man whose body was found Thursday afternoon at the Tenafly Nature Center.
A hiker discovered the body at approximately 2 p.m. and contacted police.
Officers from the Tenafly Police Department responded and located a deceased male in a wooded area within the nature center.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit was notified and detectives initiated a joint investigation with Tenafly police.
The Bergen County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Criminal Investigations also assisted at the scene.
The deceased has been identified as Robert Wolmer, 64, of Tenafly.
Investigators concluded that the death does not appear to be suspicious.
The investigation remains ongoing.
