JAMESTOWN, NY — A 4-year-old girl died after being struck by a school bus at the intersection of Cole Avenue and Whitehill Avenue on Nov. 17.
Officers with the Jamestown Police Department responded to the scene at about 8:08 a.m. for a report of a motor vehicle accident.
The child was struck by a Panama Central School District bus.
Patrol officers who were in the area arrived and attempted to render first aid.
The child was transported to UPMC Chautauqua at WCA Hospital where she died from her injuries.
The Jamestown Police Department, along with assistance from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team and New York State Police, are continuing to investigate the incident.
